We tell stories like everybody else, but we take special care to be sure that they are your stories, artfully told with sharp focus and keen insight. We shoot, edit, animate, and create websites. We’re agile, lean, efficient, and above all, creative.
“Sit, walk, or run, but don’t wobble.” — Zen proverb
We hit deadlines. We respect budgets. Sometimes, our work for you will reach the level of art, but it will always exemplify consummate craft.
What keeps us fresh is the knowledge that every story is interesting if you tell it the right way. When we start on your project, we may not know what that method is. But we will dig deeper, research longer, and try a little harder to find the hook that makes a good story great and a great story irresistible.
“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant but has forgotten the gift.” — Albert Einstein
Tom Kwilosz created ThereMedia over twenty years ago, and his sensibilities are at the heart of all our projects. In his own words:
“I’m a producer and director– a follower of the real and the imagined.
“What I mean by this is, that I’m as big a fan of the process, as I am of the end product. I’m drawn to detail and analysis, as well as intuition and all the “right brain” affinities. I try to honor both the servant and the gift.
“Filmmaking is an art form achieved by a creative troupe, nurtured by directors in a playful and collaborative environment. You find the idea, let it grow, and then toss it up to see where the team will take it.
“Now, producing is a detail-oriented craft– with an element of performance thrown in, because when you are collaborating with teams of artists, producing beautiful work, and keeping your clients on time and on budget, that itself is a kind of art form. The same is true of running a successful business for decades.
